Updated: 4/17/07
Sorry for the lack of updates in the last few weeks.
It's been a busy a few weeks for me but I am glad to announce some details for
the upcoming 2007 PBLA Season - our 20th Season!
Important Dates:
- Wednesday May 2nd: Start of open scrimmages at
Rizzo! Open scrimmages will take place 7pm to 9pm every
Monday and Wednesday until the season starts. I will be on hand to
register players from about 7pm to 8pm. After 8pm, I will be playing
and can't take your registration.
- Monday May 28, 2007: Memorial Day! The
rink is closed - no lacrosse.
- Wednesday May 30, 2007: Regular season commences
Fees:
As of right now, the fee schedule will be similar to 2006.
As of 4/17/07, I have not had a sit down meeting with Rizzo Rink manager.
Therefore, I am not 100% sure if our rink fees will be the same but I have no
reason to see a major change.

Other information:
- The schedule will be set as soon as we have
confirmation on our teams. Most likely that will be the 2nd week of
May.
- Rizzo Rink has a new manager. His name is
William Powell and seems pretty cool. However, as always, we must obey
all rules in the rink. Again, please note that alcohol and drugs are
illegal at Philadelphia Recreation Centers. Please be sure to tell your
family and friends not to bring any alcohol to our events or WE WILL LOSE
OUR PERMIT. We had no problems last year and I want to keep it that
way!
- I plan on purchasing one of those super-sized fans for
the rink to help circulate the air in the rink when it gets warm.
- Please do not call Rizzo Rink for ANY reason! In
the event a game is cancelled due to rink flooding, you will receive a call
from our automated system. When registering, I encourage you to type
in your cell phone number.
