2009 Start up information!!!!

Update 4/16/09:

Welcome back!   The 2009 Season is upon us!  Fortunately, Rizzo Rink escaped being closed as per the massive budget cuts in the City of Philadelphia.  Although it is not closed, it did not escape unscathed; our 2009 rink user fees will be larger than in the past years.  Despite of this, I see no need to raise fees for this year!   I have worked out a budget that should keep us fiscally sound for this year.

Teams:  If you have no intention of returning this year, I need to know now!  Also, if you want a different logo or something like that, I need that and your player numbers by May 8th.  II have to order our jerseys by this time so if I don't hear from I will use last year's info.

Important Dates:

• Monday May 4, 2009: Start of open scrimmages at Rizzo!    Open scrimmages will take place 7pm to 9pm every Monday and Wednesday until the season starts.  I will be on hand to register players from about 7pm to 8pm. 
• May 8, 2009: ALL TEAM JERSEY INFO IS DUE!!!!!!!
• After 8pm, I will be playing and can't take your registration.  So please register online or early in the evening.
• Monday May 25, 2009:  Memorial Day!  The rink is closed - no lacrosse.
• Monday June 1, 2009:  Regular season commences

Fees:

As of right now, the fee schedule will be similar to 2008. 

I have 2 main goals this year.  1)Keep us in budget and 2.) Have all jerseys ready before the season.  Therefore, we are having a hard deadline for all team jersey info (jersey color, logo, and numbers) for May 8, 2009.  Teams must be confirmed by this time.  So, Captains do your magic and start making calls now!   If I have no information by May 8th, I will use last year's information.  For newer teams, I will just use a PBLA logo, pink jerseys and numbers 1-21 if I don't get the info.  No exceptions.  Once jerseys are ordered, there will be no changes.
